About Heles Angels

At Hele's Angels we are committed to bringing the community closer together and promoting a sense of belonging.

Heles Angels is the community partnership for Hele and Lower Barton ! We work closely with our local churches, community centres and organisations such as the police and local councils.

Hele's Angels Priorities

  • Creating more jobs and helping people into work.
  • Improving the quality of the environment in Hele and Lower Barton.
  • Providing residents with access to a range of advice and support services.
  • Provide opportunities for residents to initiate and take action themselves to address local problems, including the recruitment of volunteers and the engagement of the community.

Hele’s Angels Vision

Achieved through the implementation of Hele’s Angels Priorities

  • Increasing household incomes;
  • Residents having better access to services that lead to greater levels of personal and family wellbeing;
  • More residents obtaining employment ;
  • An increase in rates of self employment;
  • Reductions in the number of workless households;
  • Residents having more skills and employment opportunities;
  • Reductions in the numbers of young people who are not in education, training and employment;
  • Improving levels of health and well-being;
  • Increase in levels of financial inclusion;
  • Higher levels of citizens engaged in supporting their community;
  • A better quality environmental; and
  • The earning of income from the sale of goods and services to support the core operating costs of Hele's Angels.

How does it work?

The Community Board

The Community Board consists of a group of residents, businesses and stakeholders from the pathfinder area.

The Neighbourhood Team

The role of the dedicated manager is to deliver work identified through an agreed 12 monthly action plan.

The neighbourhood manager reports to the project board, consisting of senior representatives of the mainstream providers. This board will ensure that progress and community focus is maintained.

Representatives from the community board will be present on the project team.....
